Sermon of the Great Distortion Playmat

Regular price €47,59

This playmat was painted by our friend and local Malmö artist Oscar Sjöstedt. The extremely high quality art features Kozilek in a somber almost religious pose, surrounded by mystical eldrazi symbols.

If you look closely there's some humans in the background to emphasize the enormous scale of the titan. The symbols and foiling was designed by Anders while the original pose and direction was provied by Alfie.

We love this playmat (we call it knobhead) and it's one of our most popular ones.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Foil Questions

1. What is a foiled playmat?

Our foiled playmats feature a premium metallic foil layer applied to selected parts of the artwork. This creates a reflective finish that shifts with the light and gives the design extra depth and contrast compared to standard printed playmats.

2. Will the foil scratch or wear off?

Normal tabletop use will not damage the foil. But sharp objects or excessive friction can cause scratches over time. Treat it with care and your playmat will stay in good condition.

3. Is the foiled surface smooth?

Yes. The playmat remains smooth and comfortable to play on. You may feel a very slight texture difference where the foil is applied, but it does not interfere with card movement or gameplay.

4. Does the foil cause glare?

Foil reflects light, especially under strong or direct lighting. This is part of the visual effect. Under normal indoor lighting, glare is minimal, but very bright lights may increase reflectivity.

5. Can I roll the foiled playmat?

Yes, but always roll it foil-side outward. Rolling it the other way can put unnecessary stress on the foil layer and may cause creasing or damage over time.

6. How should I store the playmat?

Store the playmat rolled in a playmat tube when not in use. Avoid folding it, stacking heavy objects on top of it, or storing it in very hot or humid environments.

7. How do I clean a foiled playmat?

Use a damp cloth and gently wipe the surface. Do not scrub, soak, machine wash, or use cleaning chemicals, as this can damage the foil layer.

8. How should I store the playmat?

Store the playmat rolled in a playmat tube when not in use. Avoid folding it, stacking heavy objects on top of it, or storing it in very hot or humid environments.

General Quality Questions

1. How thick is the playmat?

The playmat is 2 mm or 0.08" thick. The perfect compromise between durability and flexibilty. Overly thick playmats can be hard to handle and transport, while too thin playmats will not be durable.

2. Is the art sharp?

The print is clear and razor sharp. We've sought far and wide for the perfect production partner for these playmats and the quality is absolute world class.
